Weekly productivity
As before, what I have achieved this week:

07/04 - 1,095 words on ch12 of TBQ
08/04 - social life
09/04 - 266 words on TBQ + DeVotchKa!
10/04 -
11/04 - editing pass through “SA,P,N,R”
12/04 - read through “SA,P,N,R” + family time
13/04 - 531 words on ch12 of TBQ

Thursday saw me being brain-dead, on account of getting fewer than 5 hours' sleep after the DeVotchKa concert. I might have been able to write in the morning, but by the time I got home from work and had been to the gym and my dentist appointment, I struggled to glue thoughts together. I need my 6 hours minimum, much as I wish I could be creative with less.

But on other occasions, forcing myself is necessary and worthwhile -- I felt like writing nothing this morning, but managed my daily goal, as well as a pretty good amount of reading and lounging around.

Need to do more The Bone Queen this week, if I can. At least I sorted out my problems with chapter 12, which hopefully I can finish soon.

Good on ya. I have done precisely squat this week, with the honourable exception of cutting 50% out of my prologue - which after much consideration I then put back.

I've never been a fan of flogging a dead laptop myself, I've heard it works for others.

Once you're happily ensconced in the capital, you might want to consider coming down to this:

Its surprising how productive you can be when everyone else is doing the same thing, and there's no internet about.

Sounds like you're being very productive and balancing it neatly with the Rest of Your Life :)
Good luck with the Bone Queen!

Thanks! The balancing act can be difficult at times, and will be more so whenever I move back to London and have more opportunities to go out.

At some point I need to train my body to be happy with 6 hours' sleep every night. I can survive on 6 for a few nights, but really work best getting 7 or 8. I can't help but think of the extra hours I could spend writing or reading.

Masterfade
You took my hand and led me down to watch a papillon parade, and
we let the kittens lick our hair and drink our chalky lemonade.
You squeezed my hand and told me softly that I shouldn't be afraid
'cause all the while your finger's resting gently on the masterfade,
the masterfade.
