Working at the last minute, as always
"Who Treads on Decayed Ground" is 45 pages in manuscript format. Wonderful. I'm only going to manage one more editorial pass before I submit it to Eclipse Two tonight (deadline for open call is end of 29th, but Perth, Australia-time). Why did I write a 9,500-word story?

Oh yeah, because Trifmara, Chayoon and Yi are plot-y, wordy characters. *sigh*

Tomorrow night I can play with Scrivener, which I downloaded the 30-day trial of after [info]yhlee posted a screencap of it. The urge to play with it now is so difficult to resist. Pretty software! It calls to me!

Right, must stop procrastinating. One more pass of the story.

22:13 - Story is submitted. Eep.

Masterfade
You took my hand and led me down to watch a papillon parade, and
we let the kittens lick our hair and drink our chalky lemonade.
You squeezed my hand and told me softly that I shouldn't be afraid
'cause all the while your finger's resting gently on the masterfade,
the masterfade.
