First sale of the year!
And quick on the heels of my first reviews is my first sale of 2008: my short story "Snowdrops" to Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet.

I love LCRW in a big way, so I can't wait to see my work in its pages.

I'm also very excited to have sold this story in particular. It's one of my early ones, from 2006, but I still enjoy it very much (I've played with line-level stuff almost every time between submissions, but nothing major after I originally turned it from 100 words to 1000 words and then added an extra scene at a beta's suggestion). Editors have near-missed and form-rejected it a number of times; it was starting to worry me, because I wanted it to go to a good home. And it has! Yay!

Masterfade
You took my hand and led me down to watch a papillon parade, and
we let the kittens lick our hair and drink our chalky lemonade.
You squeezed my hand and told me softly that I shouldn't be afraid
'cause all the while your finger's resting gently on the masterfade,
the masterfade.
